Week 25

MONDAY 10/12/07:- As I have finished my industry brief, I'm revisiting previous projects and tweaking them. If you check out my Maya project you can see I've added sound effects.

TUESDAY 11/12/07:- Continuing to revisit previous work. We are putting together a showreel of our work which includes work done at Cyfle and work done prior to joining Cyfle. This showreel will then be sent to Imagimax; a animation studio in Thailand, where we will be receiving training from some of the country's best animators. We're soooooo lucky!

WEDNESDAY 12/12/07:- Spent the day reworking some of the shorts on my 'Cyfle Interview Application Form Showreel'. I left university with barely any knowledge of the digital side of animation. The equipment we used to do our work when I was in university, were the old rostrum cameras and U-matic tapes. The showreel I used for my Cyfle interview was pieced together while I was working in the building trade. I managed to get a hold of some programmes such as Photoshop and Flash MX, and proceeded to piece my work together in my spare time. It took a long time. My knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere and Flash prior to joining Cyfle had been self taught. It became clear to me that I had to rework my Pre-Cyfle animations. Most of the work was 2D hand drawn, which was then scanned in and edited on the computer. My knowledge of formatting was non-existent, so much of the work I had done became very pixilated after rendering. Now I have the opportunity to correct these mistakes and rework my showreel. FRIDAY 14/12/07:- Reworking pre-CYFLE animations.
